Spotify has officially released its annual data for cities’ top songs, artists and albums and the focus is on the impact women had over the course of 2024, and a spotlight on the city of San Francisco which has made strides in becoming a beacon for music.
According to the report, the most streamed song in San Francisco was “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter and the #1 album in San Francisco was Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology“.
Some of San Francisco’s top artists (in order) were Drake, Peso Pluma, Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West and the other top songs for the city were “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish, “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan, “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar and “Who” by Jimin.
When it comes to the top albums in San Francisco, it was “Short n’ Sweet” by Sabrina Carpenter, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” by Chappell Roan , “Hit Me Hard and Soft“ by Billie Eilish and “Eternal Sunshine” by Ariana Grande.
